Fun, sun, and French! Provence French Summerschool 2017 at Avignon Steiner School
Dear Steiner-Waldorf teachers, parents, and friends,
Greetings from the Avignon Steiner-Waldorf School in sunny Provence! Our 2016 Provence French Summerschool was a resounding success, playing host to 16 youngsters, and we plan to expand the programme in 2017 to welcome more young students to share our love of the French language and our Provençal culture. Two courses will run, from 16 – 30 July and from 1 – 15 August 2017.
Our Provence French Summerschool 2017 is now open for registration!
Students spend two weeks living with French host families, enjoying French lessons and creative activities in our school, discovering some of the highlights of Provence on supervised outings and getting a true taste of French life and culture. Our region is steeped in history, with cities dating back two thousand years and picturesque villages bathed in the incomparable light admired by great artists through the ages.
2016 participants’ feedback about their stay was universally positive.
The group made good progress in French while also enjoying varied activities like canoeing, swimming, sightseeing, museums, art and street theatre festival visits in major cities like Avignon and Arles alongside smaller villages Pernes-les-Fontaines and Baux-de-Provence.
Do you know any young people aged 15 to 18 who might enjoy the chance to spend two summer weeks in our school improving their French language skills, meeting other young people from around the world, and enjoying a cultural holiday in a lovely region?
Further details, and a downloadable registration form, are available at: http://www.ecole-steiner-avignon.org/summerschool/lycee-dete/.
